Planning for a special needs family requires both sensitivity and knowledge. Financial professionals need to be prepared to help their clients fit all the pieces together. Families need a professional that will listen and help them secure the best possible future for their loved one. The American College of Financial Services recognizes the challenges these families face and have developed a new designation specifically designed for them.
The Chartered Special Needs Consultant® (ChSNC®) provides financial professionals with the technical, collaborative, and quantitative skills necessary to help your clients with special needs. The ChSNC®, exclusive to The College, is a new program designed to provide people with disabilities and other special needs with a more competent advisor. ChSNC® designees will be equipped with the specialized skills needed to help parents and caregivers plan for the future with honesty, ethics, and compassion. A ChSNC® can navigate the unique considerations, tax deductions, healthcare issues, Medicaid complexities, and the emotional aspects of providing for a disabled loved one.
